Leave a CommentI am an undergraduate Media and Communication student with aspirations of becoming a journalist. My passion for writing and the media in feature writing, however news reporting is also of interest to me. I practise my skills regularly as part of my studies but also in my voluntary role as a news and feature editor for the University magazine. My role is primarily editorial but I am keen to contribute stories and ideas as a means of practise, it also allows me the opportunity to have my work read by others, which provides feedback. I describe myself as a well presented, trustworthy, and enthusiastic individual. I approach set tasks, targets and deadlines with motivation to succeed. I have a welcoming and professional attitude which allows me to communicate confidently with people in all situations. I am quick thinking and eager to learn.
The experience I have gained from work placements so far have been essential to my learning and taught me a lot about the media as a working environment. My experience includes working at BSkyB, my local newspaper The News and I am currently working with the production team for Flymag Online.
